One thing I worry about a lot is whether or not these damn kids are becoming more and more clueless and stupid to what is going on in the world. They are more likely to waste their time on facebook then even accidentally stumble on a news page god forbid a Presidential Election page. But now thanks to the Political Applications available on facebook there can be hope. The Election 08′ Application now enables them to “vote” online, show their support for a candidate, get latest updates on the election, engage in a bulletin discussion, and even invite other friends to join which is the most important part. Democracy doesn’t work if it is kept to one man.
The origins of this Application was in January 2008 during the peeking rise of the election. This application gives everyone an apportunity to express something more personal then just their favorite movie and band… it enables people to get an idea that you care.
